Breast Reconstruction

Restoring a natural appearance to your breasts after a mastectomy can go a long way in restoring your self confidence, positive outlook and healing.

Breast reconstruction surgery can be performed soon after a mastectomy or even years down the road. Dr. Schleicher 's goal is to recreate your breast shape using implants, tissue from somewhere else on your body, or a fat transfer technique to ensure a natural look that makes you feel good and restores your self- confidence.

Post-mastectomy breast reconstruction is a process that usually requires multiple surgeries to achieve the full desired result. Because there are so many options available for reconstruction, it is best to schedule a consult with Dr. Schleicher to discuss your particular case and the results you wish to achieve.

Please keep in mind, there is no known connection between breast reconstruction surgery and breast cancer recurrence. The reconstruction surgery does not interfere with treatment should the cancer return, however your oncologist will likely recommend periodic mammograms in the future.
