Coronavirus Update

As our patient, your well-being is our highest priority.

We have been closely monitoring the respiratory illness caused by Coronavirus (COVID-19), and would like to provide you with resources to help you take care of your health and protect others. Please visit www.cdc.gov for the most updated information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) about the virus, how to reduce the risk of spreading it, travel and more.

Appointments at Skin Surgery Center of VA:

If you have flu-like or respiratory symptoms, you will need to reschedule your appointment with us. All cancellation fees are waived until further notice. Symptoms include: fever, body aches, fatigue, weakness, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, vomiting and diarrhea.

We are always happy to see you, but we will suspend shaking hands as a greeting at this time.

We are taking extra care to clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces in the office multiple times a day—including shared items such as pens, door handles, switches, countertops, etc.

CDC Tips to Stay Healthy During the Current Flu & Respiratory Disease Season:

If you’re displaying any flu-like symptoms, contact your Primary Care Provider.

Get vaccinated for the influenza (flu) or pneumonia if you have not already.

Take everyday preventive actions to stop the spread of germs, including: wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; use hand sanitizer with at least 70% alcohol; avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth; clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Take flu antivirals if prescribed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office at 804.282.4940.
